WDN Touchdown Table: Your predictions and ours

| | Comments (1) |

This season, our high school football columnist Aram Toegian and I will go to head-to-head in giving our predictions for all the area games from week to week. Want to play? Just add your projections and keep your tally and see how you match up.

Records (season total, last week): Ramirez (6-1, 6-1); Tolegian (6-1, 6-1).
Last Week: Aram and I both went 6-1, with both missing on Los Altos beating El Rancho, but who saw that coming. We were dead on everything else.
This week: There are two big local matchups. La Habra, the area's top team over the past decade takes on La Mirada, which looked a little better than advertised before losing to St. Paul, 24-7, last week. La Habra chewed up and spit out El Dorado, and is the easy pick, but I wouldn't be surprised if La Mirada gave the Highlanders a game for a bit. But the pick is La Habra. The other big local matchup features Schurr calling on Cantwell. The Cards went into Schurr last season and came away with a 40-28 victory. The Spartans would like to return the favor. I just don't see it happening. Both teams lost a few players to graduation, but Cantwell looks like it will win this battle of Montebello - with no disrespect to Montebello High. Speaking of the Oilers, they have an interesting matchup against Rosemead, which also has divisional implications. It should be another close one for Montebello, but I'm thinking Rosemead edges them out.
Note: Aram will provide his picks later
