CalHi: The Condors can pass, too

The book on California is to stop the Condors' vaunted running game, which has accumulated 1,311 yards and 12 touchdowns in five games.
But the Condors, who open Del Rio League play at Pioneer at 7 p.m. Friday, can also take to the air, which was evident last week when Drew Castro completed 5 of 5 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-7 victory over Montebello.
"The thing is when guys come up and play run, the play action is there for us," California coach Jim Arnold said. "Drew was 5 for 5, but two touchdowns - I'll take that any day."
