ER and Pioneer have had multiple classic, hard fought game s dating back to 2009 when Pioneer had two leads late in the game and overtime only to see ER tie it twice, and the following year when Pioneer tied the game late to qualify for CIF. It should be another hard fought game the next time around at Pioneer

La Serna -- Dons' biggest challenger according to Steve Ramirez (soccer). Next El Rancho La Serna at LS 1’18’12. La Serna defeated Cal 1-0 today; Cal is rank # 6 in div # 4. Consequently big matchup as it should be. GO DONS!

I agree completely: if Pioneer would of score first the outcome could be different who knows. Pioneer has a very good team their JV team defeated our JV 2-0. The rematch at Pioneer………….

El Rancho won a close one.....Pioneer was in it the whole way until their defender got red carded....El Rancho sealed the deal with a second goal in the last minute of the game...another classic.....Pioneer gave a good game...

Good game tonight (ER beats PHS, basketball) Dons keep it up……..

The Ranch defeats Pioneer with two second half goals, ended 2-0, Titans played tough in the half.

ERnation said:

ERs’ (B-Ball) next opponent Pioneer on Friday at the Ranch, them “Titans” will be ready coming off a tough loss against Cal 83-50 tonight. Dons have to stay focus because it gets rougher as league progresses. My league picks now according to wins and loses of their respected challengers in pre-season. Whittier #1, La Serna #2, and Cal / ER tied at #3; consequently Dons again stay with single-mindedness. The start of league is a whole new season when anything can happen if you make it happen. GO DONS…

El Rancho said:

My boy called me said the Ranch drain a gang of threes all bottom of the net. He mentions SF has a center about 6-7 or so but did not play a lick. Does anyone know who he is, the kid look good warming up?

"Sports Fan", I like your analysis. It's thorough and more involved. Maybe the Whittier Daily News should give you a page. No sarcasm.

Post a link if you have a Blog. I think Ramirez has had it with this blog. This article is almost a repost of the last time he did the rankings.

Hater?

Show me where I said anything that was false. It's not being a "hater" if I'm stating facts.

I've seen every DRL league team play and know someone on every team. I'm a fan of DRL soccer, so I know what Im talking about. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feeling for speaking the truth.

Go Dons just do it on the field. Since the rest will take care of its self, our precious Dons.

Some corrections on girls soccer:

La Serna has a record of 4-5-5: They have yet to play one single game with their starting lineup due to injuries; they are finally healthy heading into tomorrows DRL opener. Very good bet to win CIF this year if they stay healthy.

La Mirada is 8-6-3: Started off the season strong, but injuries have plagued them at the wrong time

El Rancho has three losses, not two: This will be the team to challenge LS for the DRL crown this season.

Pioneer is 9-3: Record is impressive on the surface but when you look at the schedule, their wins came against opponents that are a combined 2-29-3 ; also fell to Santa Fe in the Bellflower tournament

Santa Fe, like Pioneer has some wins, but against below average opponents. Game versus Pioneer was decided on a goalie blunder that bounced under the legs of the keeper in the final minutes of the game.

Good luck to the DRL teams beginning league play tomorrow, should be another exciting season.
