Downtown Free Concert

The 3rd annual 1st & Central Summer Concerts, a free outdoor world-
music series in downtown L.A., continues on Thursday (Aug. 2) with
an Afro-Latin music program featuring Ricardo Lemvo, a pioneering
Congo artist who combines styles ranging from salsa to soukous. Also
appearing on the program is Destani Wolf, a celebrated mezzo-soprano
adept at R&B, rap, ska, soca and DJ sampling. Details follow.

Presented as a public service by the Japanese American National
Museum, the series continues through Sept. 13th on Thursdays at 6:30
pm on the plaza of the museum, located in downtown L.A.s' Little
Tokyo (at the intersection of 1st Street and Central Avenue).
