Coachella acts Vampire Weekend, Modest Mouse, The XX, How To Destroy Angels, more headed to Pomona

Audiences don’t need to head out to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio because some of the biggest acts are headed to venues in Pomona.

Click on the links below to see when tickets go on sale and times of the shows.

Here is the lineup for the Fox Theater, 301 S. Garey Ave., Pomona:

– Experimental and electronica act How To Destroy Angels (featuring Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Maandig, Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan) will headline April 10.

-Issaquah, Washington’s indie and experimental rock and folk’s Modest Mouse will take the stage on April 16.

– London indie and dream pop band The XX perform on April 17. Their opening act is Nite Jewel.

– New York indie rock band Vampire Weekend is up on April 18. Their opening act is the Brooklyn, New York indie and electronic music act (also appearing at Coachella) Tanlines.

Here is the lineup for the Glass House, 248 W. 2nd St., Pomona:

– Los Angeles alternative rock band The Three O’Clock will reunite and perform on April 6.

-Baltimore dream pop band Beach House (w/Holy S***) will make a stop on April 10.

– Brooklyn, New York experimental rock’s Yeasayer with Blacksburg, Virginia dream pop act Wild Nothing and Chicago psychedelic pop band Wild Belle will perform on April 11.

– Coventry, England ska band The Selecter, Kendal, Jamaica reggae artist and producer Lee “Scratch” Perry,London punk/folk act Skinny Lister and DJ Lawless spinning at the doors and between acts on April 15.

– Amherst, Massachusetts alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. will headline on April 17.

-Portland, Oregon psychedelic rock band Portugal. The Man with Los Angeles indie folk band Lord Huron will hit the stage on April 18.

– Vancouver, British Columbia indie and garage rock’s Japandroids and Cleveland indie and neo-grunge band Cloud Nothings will both hit the stage (w/Joyce Manor) on April 22.

In Cabazon, the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon have added acts like LeAnn Rimes, Huey Lewis and the News, MC Hammer and Lonestar

The Morongo Casino Resort & Spa have added a wide range of acts to its schedule.

Country’s LeAnn Rimes is scheduled to perform at 9 p.m. March 22 with tickets priced at $69.50 or $79.50.

Rock’s Huey Lewis and the News will play at 9 p.m. May 17 with admission at $69.50 or $79.50.

Hip-hop’s MC Hammer will take the stage at 9 p.m. June 21 and ticket prices are $48 or $58.50.

Country’s Lonestar will perform at 9 p.m. July 19 with prices at $44 or $65.50.

The casino is at 49500 Seminole Dr., Cabazon.

Hip-hop artists Noa James, Curtiss King on tour with Murs

San Bernardino’s Noa James (http://noajames.com/) and Curtiss King (http://curtissking.com/) are currently on the Road to the Paid Dues Independent Hip-Hop Festival tour with Murs, Prof, Fashawn, DJ Foundation and DJ Fundo.

The tour is scheduled to make stops in central, northern and the southern California coast before it stops in San Bernardino.

The March 30 Paid Dues festival takes place at the National Orange Show.

Moreno Valley’s Stevie Crooks is scheduled to perform, while Black Cloud Music, the label James and King are on, is an event host.
