INDIO – Brooklyn, New York’s Yeasayer gave a near perfect set of vocals and psychedelic pop instrumentals Saturday night at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.Group members Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton, Anand Wilder and Cale Parks were more than ready to tackle the challenge of performing at the Outdoor Theatre night timeslot against fellow Coachella acts like Hot Chip, Spiritualized, Grizzly Bear and more who performed at nearly the same time.

Members thanked the audience many times for choosing to see them over these other bands at one point after performing “One” from their 2010 album “Odd Blood,” Madder Red” off the same album and “2080” from their debut 2007 album “All Hour Cymbals.”

After performing their earlier material, the band didn’t leave our its current 2012 release “Fragrant World” with “Reagan’s Skeleton” before ending with their hit “Ambling Alp” off “Odd Blood.”
