Loft walk

Long Beach Heritage will play host to a tour Friday, Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. of the Temple Lofts, the recently completed conversion of the Long Beach Masons building built on Locust Avenue in 1924.
The 82-loft development, an example of adaptive reuse of a historic building, includes the vintage temple flanked by two modern loft buildings. Lofts range in size from 700 to 3,000 square feet, featuring design elements such as soaring ceilings and brick wall accents.
Several homeowners will open their units for the event and the developer will show model lofts, as well. There are six different loft designs.
Ticket prices are $25 for Long Beach Heritage members, $30 for non-members and must be reserved in advance. Tickets are available by check to Long Beach Heritage, PO Box 92521, Long Beach, CA 90809. For more information call 562-493-7019.
