Trees in Bixby Knolls

Volunteers are being sought to help plant eight magnolia trees along the 3800 block of Long Beach Blvd. between Bixby and Roosevelt roads on Saturday, Jan,. 10 beginning at 9 a.m. The planting is part of a program sponsored in conjunction with the Long Beach Department of Public Works.

About 20 volunteers are needed to help dig holes, plant, and mulch the trees.

John Royce of California Heights Releaf will be leading the planting and provide instruction.
Volunteers will meet at 3810 Long Beach Blvd.
