The West East-Side Community Association kicks off its summer with its eighth annual Family Picnic Day, Saturday, June 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Orizaba Park at the corner of Orizaba Avenue and Spaulding Street.
The picnic is replacing the popular skateboard safety fair this year. It will include a bicycle safety rodeo, with free helmets given to participants, as well as games, music and hot dogs.
