The Long Beach Housing Development Company is playing host to a free Foreclosure Counseling Fair on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Jordan High School, 6500 Atlantic Ave. from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Pre-registration is recommended.
HUD-certified counseling agencies, lenders and legal professionals will offer free and confideential counseling to those who attend.\
Homeowners in North Long Beach have been among the hardest hit in the recent housing crisis. Attendees are asked to bring mortgage statements and monthly budgets.
Couselors may be able to help those already in foreclosure, those facing it and those who are on the edge.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and is first come, first served. Pre-registration is availabe at rsvp@lanhs.org or by calling 562-570-6855.
