The Neighborhood Resource Center 425 Atlantic Ave., will hold a workshop Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.to inform residents about $150,000 in grant funding available this year for historical projects from the Long Beach Navy Memorial Heritage Association. Grants can range up to $50,000.

According the Navy Memorial group, "This is a great funding source to support, preserve and restore historic treasures in your neighborhoods!  Projects must provide a public benefit and are awarded on a competitive basis.  Neighborhood associations may apply and non-profit status is not required."

 Letters of Intent from applicants are due by Oct. 15.  Successful applicants must submit full proposals due by Dec. 10.
