Councilman James Johnson is scheduled Nov. 5 to host the First Books at First Fridays, with Mayor Bob Foster as the first guest.

First Books at First Fridays is a monthly event held at Dana Library's Community Room, 3680 Atlantic Ave.

"Libraries had a great impact on my life and I look forward to sharing my love of reading with families throughout the 7th District," Johnson said in a prepared statement.

Johnson and his guest(s) read children's books beginning at 5:30 p.m. Live entertainment will be performed by Jules Music for Kids; light refreshments will be provided.
