Document shredding part deux

Apparently Saturday, May 21, is a good day to get your shred on. And to eject your e-waste. On the same day Councilwoman Rae Gabelich is staging her shredding, e-waste event, over in Los Altos, the Stanford Middle School PTA is staging its own drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the basketball courts at 5871 E. Los Arcos St.

Sergeant Shredder, a paper shredding and recycling company, will bring its 11-ton truck and shred documents on-site. The shredding of documents helps protect residents from identity theft. The school raised $500 in recycled paper at its last shredding event in the fall.

There will also  be a collection of electronic waste including TVs, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, telephones, VCRs, remotes, and rechargeable batteries.

Homemade food and lemonade will also be sold.

Information is available by calling Michele Kreinheder at 562-243-2171 or MicheleK90815@gmail.com
