Native garden workshops

 In time for the summer gardening season, the Neighborhood Resource Center
and Long Beach Water Department are presenting a free program entitled "Designing Your New Garden: Habitat, Native and California Friendly Gardens."

 The event will be held Wednesday, May 11, 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Avenue.

 Landscape designer Barbara Paul will discuss plant combinations, sizing a garden for you space, attracting wildlife, water conservation and the Long Beach Lawn-to-Garden Incentive Program.
