Small businesses in Long Beach are encouraged to apply for grants being offered by the Women's Business Council.
Here are the details:
The Women's Business Council of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce is awarding funds of $5,000 to a small business owner to maintain or grow his/her business through their Women's Business Council Grant for Small Businesses program.
Every business fitting the following criteria is eligible to apply:
· Business must be located in Long Beach
· Business must have 10 full time employees or less
· Must have been in business a minimum of 3 years
· Must have had collaborative and/or community involvement

Requests for Applications are now being accepted until Friday, October 14, 2011.
Application Deadline: Applications MUST be submitted in person or by mail (postmarks are not accepted) by 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
