The Conservation Corps of Long Beach will celebrate America Recycles Day, Tuesday, Nov. 15 with an E-Waste collection, mobile
recycling collection and tours of its new Environmental Education Center at 3251 E. 19th Street in Signal Hill from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers says "This event will bring awareness to the
city of Long Beach and surrounding communities of the significance of recycling,
conservation and youth programs. This event is free to the public.
"The Conservation Corps of Long Beach aims to raise self-esteem, develop basic
work skills, promote teamwork, and enhance work ethic and education for Long
Beach area at-risk youth through a combination of work, conservation and education
programs."
