Redlands PD to hold holiday-weekend DUI checkpoint and beef up patrols

| | Comments (0) |
The Redlands Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday and conduct "saturation patrols" during the next two weekends.

Friday's checkpoint will be at Colton Avenue and New York Street from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a department news release.

Funding for the department's anti-DUI efforts efforts comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant.

The department also encourages people to report drivers they suspect are drunk by calling 9-1-1.
