Hesperia taggers taken into custody

HESPERIA - Five suspected gang members believed to have damaged more than $5,000 of property with their tagging were arrested Thursday.

Taken into custody were Joseph Rodriguez, 18; Richard Gonzalez, 22; Juan Amezcua, 28; freddy Amezcua, 22; and Corey Hacker, 18.

San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies launched an investigation into gang-related taggings several months ago and served search warrants this week.

The men were booked at the Victor Valley jail on suspicion of vandalism, conspiracy to commit crimes and a gang enhancement.
