SAN BERNARDINO -- San Bernardino police found the missing car belonging to a Phoenix man found murdered in his business Tuesday.

It was not clear from Phoenix Police Department news releases where the gold Lexus GS300 was found and under what circumstances. The car was missing from the business when 84-year-old real-estate broker Irving Shuman was found murdered inside.

San Bernardino police spokesman Scott Paterson and Phoenix police spokeswoman Stacie Derge declined to comment.

Irving was found on at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to Phoenix police news releases.

Derge told The Arizona Republic a San Bernardino officer came across the car today while on a routine patrol. The license plate had been entered into a nationwide database.

The paper said Shuman was a prominent member of the local Jewish community.

"He was a real gentleman... Tireless, deeply committed and passionate," Adam Schwartz, head of the Jewish Federation of Phoenix, told the paper. "I would use any of those combinations of words to describe him," he said.
