RIVERSIDE -- A two-car crash forced the closure of several lanes this morning and prompted a Sig Alert.

A pickup truck and a white sedan collided on the northbound 215 Freeway south of Columbia Avenue at 6:12 a.m. One of the vehicles overturned and the other stopped facing sideways on the right shoulder, said Officer Albert Graciano.

At least one person received major injuries in the crash.

The CHP issued a Sig Alert because the two left lanes were blocked. The duration was unknown.
