Adelanto man suspected of resisting sheriff's deputy

A man who might have walked away with a traffic ticket ended up behind bars late Wednesday when sheriff's deputies say he refused to provide his driver's license and clenched his fists at a deputy.

Jose Corado, 42, of Adelanto, was arrested on suspicion of resisting a peace officer and booked into jail, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said.

A deputy pulled over Corado's 1996 Toyota at the intersection of Coleridge Street and Mojave Drive for vehicle code violations. Corado began arguing with the deputy, refused to give him identification or a license.

Deputies say he then clenched his fists and took an "aggressive stance" toward the deputy.
