Ontario will hold annual fire expo

ONTARIO - The fire department will host the 46th annual Fire Expo Saturday to kick off National Fire Prevention Week.

 

The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ontario Fire Department Training Center, Station 3, at 1408 East Francis.

 

Firefighters will do live demonstrations, including a live structure fire, vehicle fire, vehicle extrication, emergency medical situation and heavy rescue. The Department's bomb squad, hazardous materials, and heavy rescue teams will also be there.

 

Kids will be able to meet real firefighters, use a real fire hose, take pictures with Sparky, slide on a giant inflatable fire truck, play in the fire dog play center and learn fire safety tips.
