A man trying to discover why someone was following his wife in a car was stabbed when he confronted the men late Monday.

The 26-year-old victim drove himself to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for treatment of stab wounds to his left arm and right hand, police said.

The man received a call from his wife, saying she was being followed by people in a white four-door Chevy Malibu. She drove home, picked up her husband and the man began following the Malibu, police said.
He confronted the men in a parking lot at 9240 Date St. at 11:23 p.m. and asked them why they were following his wife. When he tried to drive away, he was stabbed four times by one of the men. The second man smashed the passenger windows of his car with a baseball bat.

Police said both men are Latino and 23 to 30-years-old. One is 5-feet-6 inches tall, 170 pounds and wore black shorts. The other is 5-feet-5 inches tall, 160 pounds and wore black or dark blue pants and a white shirt.
