Driver killed in fiery crash in San Gabriel Mountains

A motorist died this morning after plunging a vehicle about 80 feet down the side of Glendora Ridge Road in the San Gabriel Mountains.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at 3:57 a.m. near the intersection of Glendora Ridge and Glendora Mountain Road.

The vehicle burst into flames on impact and officers received reports the motorist may have been tossed from the car.
