A San Bernardino woman was treated for smoke inhalation Monday evening after her garage caught on fire.

Nineteen San Bernardino City firefighters responded to the 7:21 p.m. blaze at a home in the 6200 block of Argyle Street.

A malfunctioning dryer caught the garage on fire, burning Christmas decorations, clothing and furniture stored in the garage.

Flames spread into the house but were contained after little more than an hour, said Firefighter Tom Rubio.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

The woman was treated at the scene.
