Man with marijuana in his car, causes two accidents in Adelanto

Deputies arrested a Fontana man Saturday after they believe he was involved in a hit and run, a serious traffic collision and had 90 grams of marijuana in his car in Adelanto.

At 9:35 p.m. Saturday, deputies when to the scene of a two-car crash at Highway 395 and Bartlett Avenue.

They found that one car had been hit and the other, belonging to 26-year-old Dajuan Kendall of Fontana, hit a traffic light pole, according to a sheriff's news release. Kendall had to be extricated from the car and was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Deputies found Kendall to be at fault for the crash and learned he was involved at the hit and run shortly before at Bartlett Avenue Bellflower Street.

Deputies also found a bag with the marijuana in Kendall's car, according to the release.

They conducted toxicology and other laboratory tests and were waiting for the results.
