once again, pomona is a gheto/barrio, national guard troops are desperately needed, the police are short handed, they have no tecnology to solve crimes.
is not that we are short police shorthanded, a couple of months ago there was a shooting in my complex and instead of cops going around looking/searching for the suspects they were buying donuts I wish I had a camera with me so, everybody can see what this cops are doing, when there is an emergency..
It is so sad this is 3 murders in the last three week according to the news paper i have said it once and i will say it again BLACKS LATINOS WAKE THE F---K UP IF YOUR NOT KILLING YOUR OWN RACE YOUR KILLING OFF THE OTHER RACE DONT YOU GUYS KNOW THE POLICE ARENT CARING BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING THERE JOB FOR THEM DONT YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ONLY KILLING THAT PERSON YOU ARE KILLING THAT FAMILY ALSO MY SON WAS KILLED JULY 22,2007 DEAUNDRE RICHMOND I HURT EVERYDAY EVERYDAY KIDS WAKE UP TAKEN A LIFE IS A VERY SERIOUS THING THAT PERSON DOES NOT COME BACK i LOOK AT MY FRONT DOOR EVERYDAY AND HOPING AND PRAYING MY BABY WALKS THREW THAT DOOR YOU CANT IMAGINE HOW IT FEELS SO WHEN YOU GO OUT THERE TO SHOOT SOME ONE STOP AND THINK ABOUT HIS FAMILY HIS MOTHER HIS KIDS IT IS NOT WORTH IT, AND FOR POMONA PD YOU GUYS KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON I WISH MY TAX PAYING MONEY WASNT GOING TOWARDS YOUR PAY CHECK
Mrs. Jones, you are an idiot. And Yolanda Blackshear, of course the police know what's going on, but they have to have co-operation from the public to do their jobs. Knowing something and being able to prove it in a court of law are two different things. And you are dead wrong Yolanda, the police do care. They love being able to arrest the bad guys. They are out there helping people every hour of every day. They are responding to domestic calls, helping women that are being beaten, helping people that have been burglarized, and all sorts of other ways. But people like you never give them credit for what they do. Buy a police scanner and listen to all the calls the cops go out on. The police can never solve a crime on their own without help from the public. But in a gang ridden town like Pomona so many people don't like to talk or help. And I wouldn't blame the police for not wanting to help an ungrateful person like you. I've read your comments before. You blame all the wrong people. Peoole like you are the first one to complain when police start pulling people over to check them. The only way to catch guys that are driving around with loaded guns in their cars is to pull them over if they look suspicious. But people like you get upset and complain that the police are harrasssing people or racially profiling them if they do. You as well as I know that if the cops had pulled over the guys that killed your son that night and found a gun in the car, he would have been still alive. Of course the cops pull over more latinos and blacks that are driving around looking like they are gangsters. Because we all know that it isn't white boys who are killing everybody, it's our own kids who are doing it. So it makes sense that if you want to catch the kids that are driving around with loaded guns looking for someone to shoot, you better be pulling over blacks or latinos, that's just common sense. But we are just killing ourselves when we jump all over the police and accuse them of racially profiling when they try to help us and catch these guys before they can kill our kids. And then we complain when they can't prevent the killings. Good going Yolanda.
If the Pomona Police were out doing there job Patroling the gang neighborhoods,Drug user, and sellers, instead of messing with the low crimes, which are the easiest thing for them to do,Because there SCARED!!!They would get alot further in alot of unsolved crimes in pomona. They know who these people are who they can get information they are just lazy, I watch the pomona police almost everyday bother the least of our worries in pomona, and let crackheads run up and down the street all day long,I also see them eating donuts and tacos while major crimes are being committed...... So MR CARDENAS YOU MUST BE APART OF THE CRIME IN POMONA YOU SOUND A LITTLE SUSPECT!!!!
You guys got it all wrong. The everyday Pomona Patrol is not the one you want to get mad at for not solving crimes, they have nothing to do with that. The only thing patrol does is respond to the call and take down the initial information until a detective arrives or is assigned to the case. The detectives are the ones who aren't doing their jobs. I was shot at in Pomona last year and I'm sure if I would have been hit and died my murder would be another unsolved case. The Pomona PD even said they knew who did it but didn't take it seriously because no one was injured. Ever since Pomona has been getting worse and worse I try and avoid the city as much as possible.
Amen - Manuel Cardenas! Can't blame the cops; blame the people who live in Pomona. Comparing to adjacent cities like Claremont and San Dimas; the crimes aren't prevalent like Pomona. Why is that??? BECAUSE the people cared! They bugged the cops until something is done and they attended townhall meetings until laws are made. I was raised in Pomona in the 80's. It isn't what it used to be. It has gone down the sh*thole because the residence have given up.
Manuel & BDD are correct - the Police & all Law Enforcement for that matter are not the problem. It's all of you people. I didn't say all of US because I'm not a part of the problem. I see someone doing something wrong, I get involved; I gather info, intel, etc, then call the police & provide them what they need. I do my part. But MOST OF YOU DON'T. Many of your own children are responsible for crime. Whether in petty theft, tagging, banging, whatever. Neighbors: 'I didn't see nothing. I know nothing.' Obviously, people don't want to 'snitch'. Don't want to tell? Then U have no one to blame put yourselves. You obviously are not part of the solution, so then, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Stop pointing fingers at police. When was the last time YOU SPECIFICALLY attended a community meeting? When's the last time U got involved? Don't want to get involved?, then end of story...YOU ARE part of the PROBLEM.
This is for Mr.Manuel Cardenas
FIRST OF ALL YOU MUST BE A COP SO I SAY TO YOU KISS MY ASS. SECIND MY SON WAS AT A PARTY IN ALTA LOMA THAT A FEMALE PUT INVATIONS OUT ON MY SPACE AND I AM FAR FROM BEING UNGRATEFUL I DONT CALL ON THE PUNK ASS POLICE I CALL ON GOD BECAUSE THE POLICE FORCE AND YOU SOUND LIKE A COP OR BETTER YET PIG CAN KISS MY ASS
Pomona Born and Raised, you know as well as I do that cars patrolling an area can't stop a gang shooting. The patrol car drives by and it's gone in 20 seconds. There's not a lot detectives can do either. With hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of gang members in Pomona, the small amount of detectives and officers assigned to the gang detail can't keep an eye on everybody. Time to use common sense. Every time the police have tried to crack down hard on gangs we get complaints about how the cops are harrassing and profiling. Sometimes the criticism even comes from some low life city councilpersons. Unless they can catch them breaking the law the cops have to leave them alone.
But Socal, don't blame the detectives. Unless a detective is actually there and see's the shooting, the only information he has is what he gets from witnesses. Sure, and if the witness says it was a teenage latino with tattoos and shaved head. That narrows it down to just about all the gang bangers in South Pomona. I'm surprised that they solve as many murders as they do. With un-cooperative witnesses, and negligent parents.
When I was a teenager in Pomona I had parents who cared about us. On school nights we had to be in the house when it got dark. My parents and most of my friends parents didn't let us roam around on the streets after dark. But some other parents didn't care. Their kids could be standing around out in the dark til 10 or eleven O'clock. Easy targets for drive-bys. People just need to wise up. When you're standing out in a driveway or yard under a streetlight at 2 a.m. with a 40 ouncer in your hand you're just asking to get shot. The smart ones know better and go home, but some stay.
But like always, some don't want to blame the ones who are out roaming the streets with a gun. Or don't dare blame their parents who don't care enough to watch out for or teach their kids the right way to live, but instead blame the police. That's the easy thing to do so you don't have to take any responsibility yourself.
When I was in high school dropping out was not even an option. I had strong parents, and luckily most of my friends had strong parents too. There was just no way that any of us could even consider dropping out. Just the way it was. Yet some kids we knew had parents just didn't seem to care enough to keep their kids in school. 90 percent of the kids that got into real trouble were the ones that dropped out. The rest of us had to be in at night doing our homework or watching television. But the dropouts were all out on the streets. Some died, some killed others, and some ended up in jail. But I blame their parents more than anyone.
But the cops are the last ones that I would ever blame. The problems start a long time before it ever gets to a point where the police are involved in any way. That's where the blame should be. But we aren't very good at facing reality and blaming ourselves, it's so much easier to blame the cops.
Pomona Born and Raised, you must be ignorant or confused. You think I'm one of the criminals? Lol, just think about it. How often do the criminals stick up for the cops? Yeah right.
People like you forget that cops get a lunch break and a couple other breaks during the day just like other jobs. So if you see them stopping for coffee or eating it's because they are on their break, not during their regular hours. They have to call into the station and request a code7 or 10-7 before they can stop and have coffee. It gets logged onto the chart for their break. If there are calls waiting, they don't get permission to stop until a later time. The have to wait their turn to take a break or have lunch.
Yolanda, first of all, I'm not a cop. But I can really understand why the police wouldn't want to help you with your attitude. I see that you call the police "punk ass police" and "pigs" and say that "pigs can kiss your ass".
Sorry if you can't handle people telling it like it is. I'm sorry about what happened to your son, but watching you complain about the cops when it was someone else that took his life, even though the truth is that if a cop had been there he probably would have saved your sons life. All of your cussing and disrespect for the police doesn't impress me. But it does give me a better understanding of what kind of parent you were. Now it all makes more sense.
BDD, Manuel Cardenas and US Army Retired, I agree with your views on the problem. People would rather blame the police than blame the real criminals. The problem is already there before the police even get involved.
And . . . .As for you, Yoland Blackshear, I checked the San Bernardino Superior Court site that is available to the public to check up on what type of person you are. Just to try to figure out whay you talk more like a criminal than a decent citizen.
Hmmmm, . . . . .
01/12/2004 Arrested for Embezzellment.
and only a month later . . .
02/10/2004 Arrested for Petty Theft
and
10/17/2008 Arrested for Burglary and Petty Theft
and, added enhancement charge of Petty
Theft with a prior.
Now that explains a lot. Now it's a lot clearer why you talk about the police the way a criminal would instead of the way a decent citizen would. Because you ARE a criminal. And that was only checking on your adventures in San Bernardino County. I didn't even check Los Angeles County or Riverside County. All of this information is available to the public by checking the San Bernardino County Court system of Open Access.
PomonaBornAndRaised, you must be either blind or retarded. I see cops patrolling the drug and gang infested parts of Pomona all day long. You are either in denial or just plain lying. They can't stop someone without probable cause. With 40 or 50 Pomona Police cars on the road every day of course you are going to see them taking lunch breaks. And just like eveybody else they have lunch at fast food places. So what surprises you to see them there? You must be ignorant. Of course you will see them having lunch. And no, in case you are too dumb to figure it out, they don't all have lunch at the same time, they have to take turns, so you will see at least one or two cop cars at one or another fast food place all day long. Figure it out. Some get lunch at 12 some at 12:30, on and on all day long. Some don't get lunch til 5 or 6:00. And the ones on the night shift get a dinner break instead of a lunch break. Most people are smart enough to understand this, but people like you see a cop having a break and start mouthing off about how cops are always eating donuts. Next time do a little thinking before you open your mouth.
