Sheriff's investigate shooting death of 16-year-old Riverside teen
Sheriff's deputies are seeking information concerning the brutal homicide of a 16-year-old Riverside boy.
Robert Christian Gomez was found dead in a Toyota sedan about 4 p.m. Sunday in a business parking lot on Limonite and Baldwin avenues in Pedley, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's press release.
Deputies believe Robert was a passenger of the sedan traveling on Van Buren Boulevard and Jurupa Road when another vehicle pulled up and occupants inside fired a handgun, fatally wounding him.

If he was a passenger in the Toyota and not a driver, I wonder what happened to the other occupants of the Toyota? It says he was found dead by police in the Toyota, but no mention of anyone else. Did his friends just abandon him and leave him to die?
