UPDATE: Two Los Osos High students injured when car falls from elevated parking lot in Rancho Cucamonga
Two Los Osos High School students got quite the scare Wednesday morning in Rancho Cucamonga.
Siblings Lovevetta Cordero, 17, and Trey Cordero, 15, were in a Chevrolet Camaro that crashed through a chain-link fence of an elevated parking lot and fell 15 feet to the street below.
The Corderos suffered minor head, neck and back injuries. They were taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.
"It was really fortunate that they were not more seriously hurt," Los Osos Principal Chris Hollister said. "We were also lucky that there were no kids walking at that time."
The incident took place at 7:35 a.m. when the Camaro, which was driven by Lovevetta, accelerated into the parking stall of the school's parking lot near Milliken Avenue and Banyan Street.
"She was trying to park and hit the gas instead of the brakes," said Rancho Cucamonga sheriff's Sgt. Paul Morrison.
The car landed on its roof, and the siblings were able to crawl out from the wreckage.
Hollister said the two were alert and able to speak with him and other school staff members at the scene.

This sounds like something Marcela would do..
Nothing but air!!! Teens should never be allowed to drive. I like the way the silly reported wrote that the "Camaro" accelerated in the parking stall" Huh? Cars don't drive themselves - the reported should have written that "Lovevetta OVER accelerated through the parking stall".
