Burglars take electrical breakers in pair of Highland break-ins

Electrical breakers were stolen in a pair of weekend burglaries in Highland that San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies suspect are related.

Someone broke into two electrical rooms at retail buildings on Stoney Creek Drive on Sunday night. The power was turned off in one of the buildings and service breakers were stolen, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said.

Friday night another business was burglarized on Base Line Road. Deputies said the burglar or burglars broke into the business, turned off the power and stole main service breakers and sub breakers. Sheriff's officials said the breakers are estimated to be worth several thousand dollars.

Deputies said the burglaries might be related to other thefts at construction sites in the city.
Anyone with information may call the sheriff's Highland station, (909) 425-9793 or WeTip, (800) 78-CRIME.
