Meet the expert: digital television transition

| | Comments (0) |
A representative from Radio Shack will show what's needed and how to connect a converter box to a television set so that digital signals can be received.

The workshop will be Jan. 10 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Upland Public Library multi-purpose room.

Television goes digital Feb. 17 and analog signals will be switched off. Those subscribed to digital or cable television need not to worry, but people who still have to adjust rabbit ears on televisions that cannot pick up digital signals will need a converter box.

The converter box allows non-digital receiving televisions to pick up digital signals.
