Two men suspected of stealing plumbing snakes from a car in Rancho Cucamonga were arrested on suspicion of grand theft Saturday.

George Toki, 34, of Rancho Cucamonga and Eugene Rivney, 50, of La Puente were booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said.

A resident called deputies at 5:52 a.m. Saturday after seeing two people removing tools from a vehicle. A deputy pulled over a vehicle matching the description given by the caller about a minute later.

The deputy said Toki was sitting in the passenger seat holding two plumbing snakes. Two folding chairs belonging to the victim were also found in the vehicle, deputies said. The stolen property was estimated at $1,800.
