UPDATE: Traffic back to normal on the 10 Freeway
All lanes are reopened and traffic is back to normal after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the 10 freeway this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers cleared the roadways and reopened the lanes at 9:10 a.m. on the westbound 10
freeway just west of Vincent Avenue in West Covina.
Dispatchers received the call shortly before 6 a.m. The motorcyclist, said to be in his 40s, has not yet been identified.
Traffic was backed up for a little more than three hours as far back as Holt AVE, CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
All lanes were shut down for a short time as CHP officers put down the flare pattern, he said. Only the right lane was open during the three hours of investigation and clean up.
Traffic on the 210 and 60 Freeways were also affected by the collision as drivers tried to detour on the adjacent routes.
