All DMV offices closed Friday

The Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Friday due to the Governor's fiscal emergency order.

Motorists who have a registration renewal date falling on Friday will have penalties waived until the next business day, DMV officials said.

Customers may make registration payments, driver's license renewals and other transactions on the Internet at www.dmv.ca.gov.

Automated services are also available by calling, (800) 777-0133.
