All-Chopin piano recital set at Cal Poly

Edward Auer, an international performer, recording artist and professor, will present an all-Chopin piano recital at Cal Poly Pomona on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall on the campus.

Auer was the first American to win a prize at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

The Indiana University professor has played solo recitals and concertos in more than 30 countries on five continents.

Tickets are $15, and $10 for students. They are available online at www.csupomona.tix.com/ or at the box office.

Auer will also present a piano master class on Monday, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall. He will serve as a master teacher, critiquing and coaching students who are selected to perform. The public is invited to the event, which is free.
