Gearing up for annual art show in Grand Terrace

Artists' creations will be on display May 3 at the 25th annual Grand Terrace Art Show.

The event, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall, 22795 Barton Road, is free.

Categories include oil, watercolor, acrylic, collage, leather work, photos, mosaics, jewelry and hand-painted china.

The art of bonsai will be shown by Vic Sumner. His display includes an array of bonsai trees that have been shaped by him for many years. He will answer questions and explain his art form.

Artist Hot Rod will showcase his talent for pinstriping.

Also on display will be quilted fiber art, needle art, glass and ceramic tile art, digital art and hand-carved walking sticks.
