Photo released of suspect in deadly crash involving Angels pitcher
Authorities are waiting to interview a 22-year-old man suspected in the deadly drunken driving crash that claimed the lives of Anaheim Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two other people this morning.
Andrew Gallo was hospitalized at University of California Irvine Medical Center.
Orange County coroner's officials identified a second victim in the fatal crash as 20-year-old Courtney Stewart of Diamond Bar.
Adenhart was a passenger in a vehicle that was broadsided by a van at the corner of Orangethorpe Avenue and Lemon Street this morning. Police said Gallo's license had been suspended for a previous DUI conviction.
Adenhart died at UCI Medical Center and Stewart, along with a 27-year-old man, died at the scene. A fourth person in the vehicle was in critical condition.
What is the big fuss ! Everyday innocent people die from accidents and not one tear or compassion from the public,put it happens to a white actor,athlete,famous person and it has to be a national tragedy.Had this happen to a rookie hispanic player like a dominican,mexican,puerto rican than we would have nothing only a few pages on the back of a newspaper.Dont like it ? It is too bad people are rallying behind this accused simply because of his race. As a defense lawyer the accused is entitled to his day in court. Please note: MEDIA coverage is biased. I am assuming the victims were white. If the victims were people of color and/or not ball players this pro bably would not be a story. However, considering the thousands of people who aspire to be major ball players and the fact those who make it to the big leagues are exceptional I think it is proper that this story gets front page coverage. I think coverage for stories like Caylee Anthony get too much coverage and celebrities get too much coverage. However, the people have to stop paying so much attention to celebrities.

Even if the four humans in the other car had been at a club or had been out to dinner, it does not erase the fact that the human who ran the red light was in violation of California State Laws and did not have the right to be on the street, behind the wheel of a vehicle. That human lost the right. The FOUR humans in the other car DID have the right to be behind the wheel of a car and they lost their rights . . . to life.
