Covering their back sides, or covering up?

If you haven't read George Watson's column in Sunday's Sun, check it out. He hit the nail on the head with regard to those who sat by and did nothing while county Assessor, and former supervisors' Chairman, Bill Postmus self-destructed. As with the deepening mess at Operation Phoenix (we learned today that former Phoenix director Glenn Baude is now on administrative leave), the tendency of elected leaders to protect their own reputations at all costs never ceases to amaze.

Covering their back sides? Covering up? It's all the same with these guys.

When this is finally over and settled from the City actions and from the courts actions, to get anyone to work in SB at the Director level, Human Resources will have to travel to Fairbanks Alaska or Orlando Florida or Portland Maine to find someone brave enough to take on the available jobs. Qualifications will be secondary to finding a brave soul willing to jump into this mess the City has on their hands. Recovery is now predicted to take a long time because creditability is shot.

I know Glenn Baude not well, but enough to know he works hard, cares and tells the truth. I have heard of Fred Wilson enough to hear that he is lazy, cares less about the people of San Bernardino and can't be trust. I got the answer make Glenn the city manager.
