Postmus' no comment comment

County Assessor Bill Postmus has decided to open up about allegations of drug use - sort of, well maybe, no not really. Seems a lot words for a "no comment."
We've talked a bit about damage control, especially as it relates to Operation Phoenix. An earlier Sun editorial cited the Tylenol tampering case in the early 1980s as a classic example of how to handle a crisis.
How should Postmus handle his PR nightmare? Tell us what you think.

postmus is a rat.
i am supremely disappointed in daily bulletin and sun readers. judging by the top stories listed on the papers' websites, no one cares that a man who was once the most politically powerful person in the county is a drug addict. and no, it's not coke, the rich man's drug. it's meth, the hesperia trash drug. that's the drug that makes 2 am wal-mart customers grind their teeth and twitch and scratch. the UGLINESS.
where are you people? why aren't you following the development of this story? why aren't you demanding in droves that this man resign immediately?
many many people that work for sb county must've known golden boy postmus was a common tweaker. why aren't you residents outraged at the county? why aren't you demanding that we ferret out anyone else addicted to meth. surely postmus isn't the only one.
the cat is out of the bag and no one's looking or caring.
god help san bernardino county, the statistical meth capital of the world. obviously you're all either meth heads or dead heads, and you got the leader you deserved.

I think Mr.Bill Postmus needs to look at himself in the mirror and ask "Do I want to live like this?" Oh Boy if we have to depend on leaders like Counselman Baxter, Bill Postmus and the ring leader, Mayor Morris, we are in BIG trouble! A druggie, a drunk, and a jack ass!
