Veteran Rams defensive end Eugene Sims, an unrestricted free agent, indicated this morning on Instagram he will be re-signing with the Los Angeles Rams. According to sources, the deal isn’t completely finished, but Sims obviously seems confident it’s only a formality at this point.
Sims has spent his entire career with the Rams after being selected as a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft. He started nine games last season, playing in 13 total, and finished with 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Sims attended the Rams team meeting in Los Angeles last week, indicating a level of confidence he and the Rams would come to a contract agreement and that he’d join them in L.A.
It appears that is now imminent.
