Tony Pedregon and crew warmup their Funny Car in hopes of getting some qualifying runs in today at the 49th Winternationals at Pomona Raceway.

Well, it's 11:06 a.m., about 24 minutes before the first Pro Stock cars hit the water box, and the rain hasn't hit the track just yet.
They just started the Top Alcohol Dragster session, so we shall see what transpires.
Earlier, crack videographer Raul Roa and I did the rounds in the pit area and spoke to two-time Funny Car champion Tony Pedregon, who is hoping to make it a third third this season. We also spoke to Top Fuel veteran Morgan Lucas, who discussed his recent competition in the Geoff Bodine NASCAR-NHRA Bobsled Challenge in January along with his prospects for a Top-5 finish this season.
