Money (what I want)
There's a story in today's paper about the extreme materialism of today's youth, who seem to value getting rich above all else.
The article is incredibly biased against the youth, however, as it portrays them as a generation more money-hungry than any before. The parents are only blamed for quenching their thirst for designer clothes and pricey gadgets.
Excuse me, but who works in the companies that manufacture and shamelessly promote all these needless products? Methinks it's mom and dad. When commercials try and convince people only a Lexus is a suitable Christmas present (don't forget the bow), it's not so surprising that a lot of kids develop more materialistic views.
So before you gripe about how greedy/spoiled today's kids are, consider this: Unless you're part of the clergy or work at a soup kitchen, you're probably part of the problem.
