- Long-time Altadena resident Sandra Thomas was elected to the
chair of the Altadena Town Council on Tuesday, according to a
statement released by Thomas.
35-year resident of Altadena and four-term town councilwoman was a
unanimous selection and said the election will bolster her
efforts to serve the community.

works as a community activist and youth advocate through her Quality
of Life Center, which includes her work leading the Bright Futures Scholars Program. The program assists urban and at-risk students in the academic pursuits.
