Paul Oberjuerge: No Wonder NBC Lost to American Idol

| | Comments (0) |

This is NBC's e-mail to journalists about what to look for in their Sunday coverage package.

And this is gonna beat Desperate Housewives?

"TORINO, Italy--February 18, 2006--The ice dancing competition continues with the original dance and the U.S.'s Chris Witty and Jennifer Rodriguez race for gold in the 1000m during NBC's continuing coverage of the Torino Olympics on NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC HD and Universal HD. NBC's Sunday primetime coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET/PT."

NBC emails every day with updated figures on how many zillions of Americans have watched the Winter Olympics. And I know the "older" demographic likes ice-dancing ... but this is a really thin teaser. Ice dancing and a couple of likely also-rans in long-track?
