Leon takes 3rd, Chino Hills places 2 at state wrestling

Alta Loma senior Jacob Leon led the way for Inland Valley wrestlers at the CIF State Championships in Bakersfield, taking 3rd at 138 pounds. He is the highest state placer in school history and 1st from the school in 7 years. He is also the highest state placer from the Inland Valley since San Dimas’ Angel Garcia was 2nd in 2008.

Leon was one of 3 Inland Valley placers Saturday, the other two coming from Chino Hills. Senior Christian Martin was 7th at 113 and senior Brody Goens was fifth at 182.
