Inland Valley holds monopoly on 300 hurdles

Rancho Cucamonga junior Jordie Munford has posted the state’s fastest time in the 300 hurdles, a 43.26-second time at the California Relays on March 24. Munford, who finished second in the 300 hurdles at last year’s state track meet, has the second-fastest time in the 100 hurdles this season, a 13.99-second effort also at the California Relays.

Damien’s Jarrett Gonzales gives the Inland Valley a monopoly on the 300 hurdles seeing as his 38-second effort at the Pasadena Games on March 24 is the best in the state this season.

Rancho Cucamonga distance runner Luis Gutierrez’s 1,500-meter time of 3:53.65 posted at the Ben Brown Invitational March 11 is also the fastest in the state.
