Rancho Cucamonga four-star safety Tahaan Goodman plans to narrow his extensive list of scholarship offers to a top 10 by the end of the week. The No. 2 safety in the nation, according to rivals.com, has over 40 offers including LSU, Oklahoma, USC, Nebraska, Boise State, Florida, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and UCLA.
“I’ve been meaning to do a top 10 but I’ve just been busy training and taking trips,” Goodman said. “It’s going to be tough but I’m about ready to do it.”
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior’s most recent trip was to Nike world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., July 5-8 for The Opening, a prestegious camp featuring 150 of the nation’s top recruits. It lived up to the hype as far as the third-ranked prospect in California is concerned.
“Yeah, it was the toughest (competition) I’ve seen,” Goodman said. “I was hurt in Atlanta and there were some other places I didn’t play, but there were a lot of guys that were good up there. The 7-on-7, everything was really, really good.”
