Rancho Cucamonga cruised to a 38-7 halftime lead, it’s defense allowed just one touchdown and the Cougars rolled up 442 yards of offense in a 45-7 win over Glendora Thursday night as they charge towards the playoffs. Glendora. meanwhile, needs to win its final two games against Etiwanda and Los Osos for a shot at the postseason.

Oregon State-committed receiver Jermel Walker had seven receptions for 171 yards for Rancho Cucamonga (6-2, 2-1) and sophomore running back Kiraun Mayo carried 15 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

In the Sierra League, Damien bounced back from a crushing defeat by Claremont last week with a mistake-free 38-21 victory over West Covina South Hills. After committing 16 in its last three games, the Spartans’ only semblance of a turnover came when South Hills recovered a pair of onside kicks late Thursday night. It is an uphill climb to the playoffs for Damien (4-4, 1-2), but this victory kept it mathematically alive for the postseason.
