Locals to be honored by CIF

Several local individuals from area high schools will be among those honored with the CIF-Southern Section Champions for Character Awards. The individuals will be saluted at the 10th annual dinner on Monday in the Grand Ballroom of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

The awards honor those for their achievements in sports and their display of the Six Pillars of Character – trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring and citizenship.
