Chino Hills High School junior volleyball standout Cherise Hennigan will be changing coasts.
The 5-foot-10 outside hitter has made a verbal commitment to Seton Hall after visiting that school, along with Fordham and Manhattan College.
The is looking forward to the change of scenery.
“I don’t like California and I’m not a beach girl,” she said. “I know that sounds strange to everyone here. I’m looking forward to having all four seasons.”
Hennigan, who has traveled extensively while playing with Club West, has made several trips to the East Coast and has always enjoyed the vibrancy and history of cities such as New York and Philadelphia.
Seton Hall is located in South Orange, N.J. The Pirates were 16-16 last season, 7-9 inthe Big East.
Hennigan recorded 91 kills and helped the Huskies to a share of the Sierra League title.
She plans to major in biology.
